Not everything is what it appears to be. Amanda gets kicked down in the dirt by her ex-fiance Ross but won't let it keep her there. Deciding she needs to regroup and make some serious changes, she packs up and moves back home, finding a place that can be remodeled into perfection with just a little bit of elbow grease. What she didn't expect to find was the sinfully attractive contractor Brax who not only will help her rebuild her new home on budget, but happens to be her little brother's best friend. The connection is instantaneous but Ross has taught her to be more careful with her heart. Can she get over the past to move on to a brighter future, or will all of those doubts and fears hold her back from finding true love?

I'm pretty torn on this book. The premise was great, and it was easy to fall into in the beginning. Amanda is understandably cautious while Brax is an honestly sweet man with a gorgeous smile. The pacing between the two coming together was wonderfully done. It eased into the romantic aspects with tastefully down intimate scenes. But I felt the conflict was a little over played to keep the story on edge. After the first plot twist I knew immediately where things were headed and sort of dreaded reading the rest. Thankfully our woman Amanda has an amazing best friend Kara to defuse most of the problems and keep her head on straight. It really helped her to see that not everything is what it seems, and honesty is the best policy.

This story was well written and jumped from Amanda's point of view to Brax's- which was something I truly enjoyed. However the ending felt rushed and left me a bit unsatisfied. We never really got to see Amanda over come her personal demons. Maybe it was the epilogue that makes me feel this way. I don't really know for sure.

Getting down to it I did enjoy reading this book and I could see myself buying more from this author in the future.

Bad Boy Rebound edition by JA Templeton Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

it was short and sweet. just enough angst without taking over. really glad I gave the book a chance. nice afternoon delight
I really enjoyed this, I just wish it went on longer. I felt like the stuff with the exes was incomplete. Would have given it five stars had it been longer.
It is obvious J.A. Templeton knows her bad boys. Incredibly written, kept me on my toes and couldn't help but fall in love with the characters. Everything that she rights, seems to be gold! Way to go girl~ Another AMAZING book! You are so talented!
After being jilted at twenty-seven, Amanda goes home to start over. Her penchant for saving has rewarded her, and she is able to purchase a home of her own. She only needs a contractor. Who better than her younger brother's best friend, Brax? Unprepared for the feelings Brax rouses in her, Amanda has to navigate the tricky world of loving, trusting and dating a man younger than she is.

This is a great short story - steamy with a good story line.
Age is just a number. Amanda waited for years to marry the man she was with. When it was all tossed back into get face. She picks the pieces up and turns her life around. Brax is the best friend of Amanda's brother Toby. Both Brax and Amanda feel a connection, but there are factors that try to keep them apart.

Will Amanda learn to trust Brax? Will Brax settle down with 1 woman? Is there a baby coming?

Find out for yourself! Read it.
It was a really good story about Mandy finding out her fiance got his boss's 18 year old daughter pregnant and he has to marry her so he called off their engagement. Many went back home to Washington state and brought a fixer upper in her home town, but she will need a contraction to fix her 1950s outdated home and her little brother suggested his BFF Brax, the same boy she used babysit back when they were younger. Now the 22 year old men always has a thing for Mandy since he was 8 and now his dreams have come true with Mandy back and him wanting to take things slow since not to cuz her more heartache but even the town's bad boy/ cant keep a woman. scared of commitment will do anything in his powers to help the woman he always wanted with her trust issues and to be together forever.
I was really surprised by this story. I was expecting something a little more angst filled, where maybe the hero was too forward and the heroine too afraid to let him in. I was waiting for the constant battle of wills, the long-standing arguments of why they were wrong for each other and why couldn't have a relationship, the push-and-pull and give-and-take until someone broke.

But! This story didn't have any of that.

Instead, I read a story of a woman learning to trust and love again, of a man who wants nothing more than to tell her how much he loves and adores and needs her. Amanda's reservations about her relationship with Brax were warranted she was older than him, he had a playboy reputation, and he was her younger brother's best friend. Yet she still took a chance on forever with him. There were problems and doubts along the way, but Brax's head and heart wasn't going to let those things keep them from being happy. He spoke up, told the truth, laid it out for her to see and decide if any of this was what she wanted, if *he* was who she wanted.

This is my first Ms. Templeton book and I'm more than please I took a chance and read it. And as this is my first taste of her writing style and ability, I can honestly say that I can't wait to read something else of hers soon.
