I had hyped this book up a lot before I read it, so I was a little nervous going into it because I had such high hopes, and the I got even more nervous when I wasn't really getting into for the first few chapters. When I had time to sit down and dedicate time to it though and got further into it, I was completely drawn in, and just like I thought when I first read the synopsis and was interested in the book, I ended up falling in love. What I loved most were the characters, and the fact that I loved so many of them. I don't know who was my favorite to read, Megan or Owen, because I loved them both so much in their own ways. With Megan, I loved how unapologetic she was with how much she dated. Very often girls get shamed for being sexually open, and I don't see many young adult characters like that honesty which just made that so much more enjoyable to read about. Owen was just so adorable and cute and I don't even know what else to say because I am so head of heels for him. Not only were the two main characters enjoyable to read, but I also enjoyed reading about Megan's friend Anthony and Madeleine, a lot of times characters like this can be thrown to the side and not developed, but NOPE, they had their own character arcs and everything. I loved these characters very much and could go on about what I loved about them, but what made them even better as characters was that they were flawed, definitely flawed, and they were called out on those flaws and they learned from them.
While all I want to do is rave about this book right now, there was one thing about this book that I still don't quite know how I completely feel, which was that Owen had a girlfriend who lived in Italy during most of the book. There were times when characters crossed lines that they shouldn't have, and there were times when that was acknowledged, but that was something that was always in the back of my mind but wasn't always on the characters minds. That was probably vague and confusing, and honestly it's because I can't come to a conclusion as to whether or not it bothered me. I feel like everyone is going to have different opinions on it, and while there were times where it nagged on me, I ultimately did not ruin the story for me.

Always Never Yours Emily Wibberley Austin SiegemundBroka Books Reviews
I can't recommend Always Never Yours highly enough! Such a cute, fun, and funny book. I couldn't put it down. I'm so excited for the next edition from these clearly up-and-coming authors!
I loved the characters and romance and how real it felt. I will be auto-buying from these two from now on.
I was skeptical going into this story after being on the hugest book slup ever, but I was pleasantly surprised when i found my self hooked. I loved the main character who wasn't like the normal female protagonist in ya. I also like the chemistry she had with the male lead and how the story played out left me wanting more. I loved every second!
This book was written nicely. I did find the main character to be annoying and completely desperate at times to belong with someone, anyone (though I sort of understand, it’s in relation the premise of the whole Shakespeare theme) I felt like we didn’t get to know Owen in depth, it was hard for me to connect to him. Her parents weren’t the greatest by all means. But I loved that she continued to roll with the punches as they came and how she was unapologetic about herself (or who she felt like she had to be) Hated the best friend, loved Anthony. 3/5
This is one of my favorite covers of the year. I kept seeing great reviews so I took a chance on it. I loved it! Megan is strong, funny and independent. I love that she embraced her sexuality and wasn't having anyones shit. She was in charge of her own sexuality and didn't let anyone shame her for it. Owen is a swoon worthy writer. I adored him!!! I can't get over how freaking grad this book was. It was funny, heart felt and swoon worthy. I also loved the theatre puns and setting.
This is such a fun contemporary novel. As someone who was worried that I had outgrown cutesy YA romances, this book made me realize I was wrong. I was swooning and cheering for the couple in all their interactions. It also focuses on family relationships and school. The story is set during a high school's production of Romeo and Juliet which adds such a fun element to the story.
The characters are cute, the romance is swoonworthy, and there is enough depth to make the story feel real. Please pick this up if you are looking for a fun summer contemporary novel.
Megan Harper is the forgotten supporting character in all her romantic relationships--the "Rosalind" to every Romeo that leaves her behind for a windowsill-leaning Juliet. She's even fast becoming the supporting character in her own family, now that her dad is re-married, and she's about to become a twice half-sister.
But after life throws her a sweet little curveball, and she gets cast LITERALLY AS JULIET in a high school production of "Romeo & Juliet" Megan begins to use the role to peel back layers of herself. In the process she gets to know a smart, sensitive, and enigmatic young playwright named Owen, who sees a lot more to Megan than an unseen plot device.
ALWAYS NEVER YOURS is a joyous trip through Shakespeare, high school theater, young love, finding your identity, friendship, family politics, and what it means to find your own spotlight--both onstage and off
